Rise to the Mulhacén – Hiking – 3 Days
More and more I realize the great impact that nature has on the human being. I think in some way that costs describe with words, all contact with the nature influences very positively in the us, balances our energies, and even fills us with vitality. That is why, from FreeSoul, opt for an ACTIVE community of people who love nature.
On this occasion, and taking advantage of the interest of several of our coworkers in activities in the mountain, we organize a weekend of three days, sharing a wonderful path of the high mountain with the intention of spending time together and sleep in the middle of nature, at the same time that aprovechábamos low temperatures in the high mountain and we rested for some time in the sweltering heat of the summer.
The idea was to our friend and veteran of Coworking, SAM, who with his contagious attitude to discover new places and do different activities, I mentioned in one of our Friday beers that you would like to make a route of several days in the Sierra Nevada. !So there we went!
We divided the route into three days, with the intention of making the journey in a progressive way, because some of the parties involved to some difficulty because of the elevation of the terrain.

The first day we started the climb from the village of Güejar Sierra, 1088m altitude. Despite temperatures in the month of July, the route became pleasant thanks to the fact that he spent mostly along the river and surrounded by trees. We matched in addition to the arrival at our camp with the sunset, even at night at the end of the stage, so that we are relieved almost completely by the temperature, which in accordance with ganabamos in altitude, descending quickly to our joy. This first night could not be more pleasant, good company, stars and a silence repairer, which connected us with the environment immediately.
In the second stage, we expected a tour quite physically demanding, at the same time spectacular. Ahead 1500m of elevation gain positive… As we were earning altitude trails disappeared, the wild terrain filled everything, the water and the waterfalls poured from between any rock, we were in a magical place, and almost alone.
I finally reached the camping spot of this stage, the lagoon of THE FLY. We were exhausted by the day’s climbs, but the place could not be more spectacular. After a nice dinner and comforting laughing, we set our sleeping bags around the beautiful lagoon, and we prepare to recharge batteries with the sound of crickets in the background and a blanket of stars above our heads, the feeling of peace is indescribable.
The final stage was exciting, given that during the first part, we arrived to the top of the pico MULHACEN, with 3478m of altitude, is the highest mountain in mainland Spain. We ended the day in the village alpujarreño of Capileira, exhausted by both kilometer, but we compensate well with a few beers to our arrival
Without a doubt, a great experience that we can all remember, adventure, nature, companionship, there can be no better combination.
